Swallow, Momma Kitty and I had an uneventful crossing from Deception Pass to the San Juan Islands. Not a breath of wind and flat seas.

Got up early, made breakfast and made sure Swallow was ready. We left Cornet Bay at 6:30am and entered Deception Pass about 30 minutes before the slack before the ebb. Current was about two knots against me as I went under the bridge.

Northwest Pass current was slack and as I crossed Rosario Strait I found about .5 to 3/4 knot in my favior.
Swallow has an autopilot, first I’ve had, and it held the coure to Lopez Pass where I transited at slack entering the San Juan Islands. I’ve not yet named the unit – something I need to do.

No sailing; but this area’s waters are not to be trifled with making ‘boring’ a good thing.
